Camera Usage
LabelWise uses your device's camera to scan food labels via Apple VisionKit (on-device OCR). Camera data is:
- Processed entirely on your device using Apple's built-in OCR
- Never saved as photos or images
- Never transmitted to any server
- Never shared with any third party
The camera is used solely to read text from food labels. No images are stored or leave your device.
AI Analysis
LabelWise uses Apple Foundation Models to analyze scanned label text. This AI processing:
- Runs entirely on your device (on-device AI)
- Does not send any data to external servers
- Does not use cloud-based AI services
- Does not transmit your food or health data anywhere
Data Storage
Your scan history and preferences are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.
Third-Party Services
LabelWise does not use any third-party services, APIs, or SDKs. All functionality is powered by built-in Apple frameworks (VisionKit, Foundation Models, SwiftData).
Children's Privacy
LabelWise does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
