OpenClaw ("we", "us", "our") built Decode My Boss as a free application. This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.

Decode My Boss does not collect or store personal data on our servers.

AI Text Analysis
Decode My Boss uses AI to analyze messages you provide. We understand that workplace messages can be sensitive. The text is processed as follows:
- On supported devices: Text is analyzed on-device using Apple Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence). Your messages never leave your device.
- On unsupported devices: With your explicit permission, text may be sent to Google Gemini API for analysis. In this case, text is sent over an encrypted connection, used solely for generating the analysis response, and is not stored by us. Google's data handling is governed by Google's API Terms of Service.
You are always informed before any data is sent externally, and you can choose to use only on-device processing.
Data Storage
Analysis results and preferences are stored locally on your device. No message data is stored on our servers. Your boss's messages are none of our business — literally.
Sharing
When you share a decode verdict card, only the analysis result is included — the original message text is never part of the shared content.
Third-Party Services
On devices without Apple Intelligence support, Google Gemini API may be used with your explicit consent for text analysis only. No personal identifiers are transmitted.
Children's Privacy
Decode My Boss does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
